Metairie Directors, Administration, Support Staff & Substitutes
Director/Financial Manager/Enrollment Specialist/ Marketing Coordinator/KH Tour Guide
Ms. Angela began working at Kinder Haus in November 2012 after enrolling her son in the Bridge class the spring before. Her daughter started in the Toddler class at the same time she began her employment. Originally from Texas, she moved to Metairie in the summer of 2010, because her husband got a job in his hometown, New Orleans. She has a background in accounting, sales, and teaching, making a perfect fit for her work as an administrator. She’s always enjoyed working with children; her first jobs were babysitting for family and neighbors, and her most recent job was as a 5th grade language arts and social studies teacher. She has a Marketing Degree from Texas Christian University, with a minor in Japanese and she earned a Texas Teaching Certificate with an ESL Certification. After she began at Kinder Haus, she was eager to learn more about the Montessori Method and earned her 3-6 Montessori Certification from NAMC in 2014. In March 2018, she and Ms. Erika became the directors. Her hobbies include attending her kids' scouting and sports activities, crafting (especially projects utilizing her Silhouette and sewing machine), essential oils, reading, and traveling.
Director/Human Resources Manager/Social Media Relations
Mrs. Erika joined the Kinder Haus Family in 2003 and then again in March of 2017. She has worn many hats at Kinder Haus; she began as a substitute teacher and then stood in as the cook for a short time. Next she moved into Bridge (preschool) as the practical life/art teacher. In 2005 she earned her NAMC montessori 3-6 certification and became the Primary practical life/art teacher, where she was also the afternoon enrichment team leader. Erika attended UNO for Elementary Education, but eventually obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology and is a Registered Health Information Technician by the state of Louisiana. She began babysitting at a young age and knew she would work with kids one day. She believes that compassion, dedication, patience, love, & consistency are what builds a successful child care program with great teachers. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, playing with her furry friend Olivia and spending time with her husband, family and close friends. Erika and Ms. Angela became (co) directors in March of 2018.

Mrs. Kelly Pregeant joined Kinder Haus in March of 2016. Not only is Kelly one of our teachers, but she also has 2 sons who attend Kinder Haus. Mrs. Kelly received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. She also has many years of teaching experience. She was a first grade teacher at Harold Keller for 6 years and taught 3rd grade at Joseph P. Maggiore for a few years, just to name a couple. Most recently, Kelly completed training at the MWEI in Hammond at Oaks Montessori. She is currently finishing up the home study section so she can receive her LMA certification. Kelly took a year off to stay at home with her newborn, but recently enrolled him in our toddler program. You may even be greeted by her friendly smile and cheerful spirit a couple of times a week in the office where she is lending us a hand with her fantastic administrative skills. Occasionally she may step in the classroom as well, if need be. When she’s not studying or working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, hubby and pups. We missed her dearly, but are so overjoyed to have her back!

Lacie started at Kinder Haus in 2015 and wore many different hats. She was our afternoon Primary teacher for a while, then was a lead teacher during our 2017-2018 school year. After that she was our afternoon staff support and administrator. She left for a while but thankfully found her way back to Kinder Haus back in September 2019. Lacie brings many, many great qualities to KH and is an asset to our school and program. She was professionally and Montessori trained at Oaks Montessori in Hammond, which is a very hands on training. She has a deep passion for the Montessori Method and genuinely believes in and practices the philosophy. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from UNO as well. Lacie is now our Afternoon Director and works closely with our Afternoon Team Leader, Mr. Rodney. Lacie is a natural born leader and has a special interest in professional development, as she has a massive amount of training under her belt. She is constantly doing things to better herself so that she is the best that she can be in life and in her career. She also currently trains our new staff members and works on many important projects daily. Ms. Lacie enjoys many different things while away from work, including hanging with her kitty cats and fiance. Please welcome back Ms. Lacie as we are beyond pleased and thankful that she came back to us.
In September 2008, Ms. Sarah joined our ever-growing Kinder Haus family. Ms. Sarah holds an Associate’s Degree in many subjects including: Psychology, Political Science, Pre-Med, and Education. Additionally, she taught for many years in Pakistan before joining us. Along with the joy of spending time with her three precious children, Ms. Sarah enjoys reading and cooking. In the words of Ms. Sarah, “I respectfully enjoy and love being able to teach the children here at Kinder Haus.” Ms. Sarah can work in any classroom at any given time. The children and teachers love when she is here. Her gentle demeanor and kindness are just two of the many things we all love about her. Not only is she a great teacher and person in general but she is also a wonderful cook, we get so excited to see what she will bring when we have teacher events. We hope we can keep her for another 10 years plus!

Ms. Nicole believes that the purpose of education is to help each child grow to their fullest potential and we agree! Ms. Nicole feels, “Students should be guided through independent hands on activities that prepare them to be lifelong learners and leaders of the community. A variety of learning styles should be utilized to support social, emotional and educational needs. A successful child care program is one that treats both teachers and students with mutual respect that helps each child feel lovable and capable. My art education and joy of gardening help make hand on learning fun!”
