Teachers and Staff
Ms. Lacie joined Kinder Haus in 2015 and has worn many different hats since: Afternoon teacher, Lead teacher, Office administrator, and now Director. She was professionally trained through Montessori World Education Institute at Oaks Montessori in Hammond, and she holds a degree from UNO where she studied Sociology and Psychology. She is Louisiana State certified as an Early Childhood teacher, and has 12 years experience working with children ages 2-12. Ms. Lacie is a natural born leader and has a special interest in child psychology and professional development. She manages and trains staff members and works on many important projects daily. While away from work, Ms Lacie spends time with her fiancé and two cats and can often be found working on arts and craft projects. She enjoys painting, balloon twisting, sewing, and organizing.

Ms. Michele joined our Kinder Haus team in January 2010. She is the mother of two children, Brianna and Brian. She received her Montessori certification through North American Montessori Center, and she has previous experience working in traditional preschool settings. Ms. Michele was the lead teacher in the Pre-K/Kindergarten class for 7 years, then in the summer of 2017 she moved over to lead the Toddler class. Ms. Michele is committed to keeping Maria Montessori's vision alive, and she brings so many positive qualities to Kinder Haus. She has a warm and caring presence, and she is very knowledgeable in early years child development. During her time off, she enjoys reading, writing, being outdoors, and spending time with her children.
Toddler and Preschool Classes
In April 2019, we welcomed Ms. Miranda to our Toddler classroom. In May 2020 she became the early morning care teacher in the Preschool classroom, as well as an office helper/floater. She previously worked as a teacher's aide in a traditional daycare setting. Ms. Miranda currently attends Delgado and is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development. She describes herself as organized, patient, and kind. We definitely agree! Ms. Miranda believes that although each child is different, they all deserve the same love and care. Her calm and collected demeanor makes her a perfect addition to our Kinder Haus team. She is an engaging teacher and always makes certain the children have her full attention and care. The little ones have so much fun with her! They are often dancing, singing, or reading stories with Ms. Miranda.
Gehan "Gee" Agrusta
Toddler and Preschool Classes
Ms. Gee joined us in January 2020 in the Toddler class. In May 2020 she moved over to lead our Preschoolers in the afternoon. She is a military spouse from the United Kingdom. She and her husband recently moved to New Orleans from Spangdahlem, Germany where she was a nanny to a 3-year old child. She also has 3+ years experience working at the Datchet Montessori School in the United Kingdom. It was there that she decided to pursue a deeper knowledge of the development and care of children. She is currently studying for her Associates degree in Psychology to gain her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Gehan is gentle, patient, and creative. She is adored by the children and her co-workers.
Ms. Bonnie brings her sparkling smile and nurturing spirit with her to Kinder Haus each day, as she has since 2001. Mrs. Bonnie completed her Montessori Certification in August 2005 through North American Progressive Montessori. Her skills are obvious and much attributed to natural talent, many years of child care experience, and a love of children. Her quiet, calm, and gentle demeanor is perfectly fitting for the age group in which she teaches. You can often catch Ms. Bonnie giving lessons of yoga or sign language, something the children love. Ms. Bonnie hopes her influence helps the children to become confident, independent, respectful, and caring human beings. "I really believe this is what I was meant to do with my life; to share the love that I have for children with lots of love, hugs and kisses!" says Ms. Bonnie. She enjoys spending time with her family when she's not at Kinder Haus.
Ms. Tamarra joined our Kinder Haus team in March of 2002. She is the proud mom of two sons. Organization, patience, flexibility, and joyfulness are some of her best qualities. Ms. Tamarra has worked in various child care settings before coming to Kinder Haus. She also worked with 3 and 4-year-old children every summer as part of the Jefferson Parish Man-Power Program. She completed her Montessori Certification in January 2006 through NAMC. We appreciate all of her outstanding contributions and dedication to the children, parents and her co-workers. Ms. Tamarra is reliable, compassionate, genuine, and loves to laugh. She comes to work every day with an exceptionally professional appearance, completed with a beautiful smile. She is a natural nurturer to the children she teaches, and she takes care of her co-workers as well. Everyone knows that if they need a good hug or a welcoming smile, Ms. Tam is the one to visit.

Ms. Brandie joined our Kinder Haus family in 2013. She has a background in childcare and retail. Her creativity, natural love of children, and organizational skills make her a great fit for our children’s house. Ms. Brandie completed her NAMC Montessori certification training July 2014, and in 2019 she finished her hands-on workshop training with MWEI at Oaks Montessori in Hammond. Ms. Brandie says, “I feel that teaching is my true passion, and a calling – I’ve wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Teaching has so many rewards, but the greatest has to be seeing how excited the children are to see you and knowing that you’re making a difference in, not only their days, but their lives". Brandie is a problem-solver and high achiever, which shows in her teaching as well. Ms. Brandie is the mother of a teenage son- Kamryn. She enjoys finding new craft activities to create, and she also has a love of handwriting and penmanship. We ask for Ms. Brandie's help anytime we need fancy handwriting or lettering on something! Loyal, punctual, calm and committed are just a few words that describe her personality.
In April 2019 we welcomed Mr. Rodney to Kinder Haus. His professional background includes babysitting, coaching cheer, running a leadership after care club, & being a Playworks Mentor Coach at Chalmette Elementary School. Currently, Mr. Rodney is pursuing a degree in Child Development & Family Counseling as well as Elementary Education. He describes himself as motivated, eclectic and compassionate. We couldn't agree more, but we would also add organized, and punctual! When asked why he became a teacher, Mr. Rodney says, "I come from a long line of educators on both sides of my family, so at an early age in life, I knew this was the career choice for me." Rodney married his high school sweetheart and they are the proud owners of two furry babies, pups Charlie & Carter. His hobbies include traveling, choreographing dances, and spending time with friends and family. As he arrives every day, you will hear the children say "Good MORNING Mr. Rodneyyyy!"
Ms. Sarah joined our Kinder Haus family in 2008. She as an Associates Degrees in many subjects including: Psychology, Political Science, Pre-Med, and Education. Additionally, she taught for many years in Pakistan before joining us at Kinder Haus Montessori. Ms. Sarah enjoys spending time with her 3 children, reading, and cooking. In the words of Ms. Sarah, “I respectfully enjoy and love being able to teach the children here at Kinder Haus.” Ms. Sarah is trained to work in any classroom in our school, and the children and teachers love when she is here! Her gentle demeanor and kindness are a few of the many things we all love about her. Not only is she a great teacher, but she is also a wonderful cook...we all look forward to Ms. Sarah's dishes during teacher potluck events!

Ms. Nicole believes that the purpose of education is to help each child grow to their fullest potential and we agree! Ms. Nicole says, “Students should be guided through independent, hands-on activities that prepare them to be lifelong learners and leaders of the community. A variety of learning styles should be utilized to support social, emotional and educational needs. A successful child care program is one that treats both teachers and students with mutual respect that helps each child feel lovable and capable." Ms. Nicole has a degree in Art Education and taught for many years in traditional education schools. Her enthusiasm and joy of gardening makes for hand-on learning fun! The children love watering the gardens and learning all about nature with Ms. Nicole.
